Alexandra Salafranca is a Swedish born, half Spanish singer and actress who performs her own newly written tunes under her own name. Her material has been described as “modern sing-song writer with indie pop and alternative rock elements”.
Tori Amos and Florence and the Machine are some names she has been likened with. Recognised for her personal and gritty lyrics, her arty and theatrical delivery and powerful and stunning voice she is quickly gaining industry interest and is currently collaborating with various producers with the aim of debut album next year. She’s previously sung lead in frequently touring Swedish pop/rock band Cascade. As a singer she shared the stage and studio with artists such as The Knife, Brainpool, Cardigans, Backyard Babies, Petter, W.A.S.P, Lambretta, Linda Sundblad, LOK, Hardcore Superstars, Anna Sahlen and many others.
As an artist she has been enjoying much critical success and has done a variety of TV and radio performance as well as featured in a wide range of magazines. Together with her musicians she performed her new songs for the first time at Water Rats in June. Now the time has come for her to guest The Workshop.
