Enfant are a British electronic music trio consisting of twin brothers Ali and Robin Owen (think The Shining but hairier) and Ed Ellis. Earlier this year, inspired by some recent records, Robin and Ali decided it was time to ditch their guitars for synths and start a new project. They called in Ed (a previous bandmate) and the three of them got into the studio and began writing. In August 2011 they emerged from their London basement studio as Enfant with their first tracks.
Enfant draw inspiration from our friends across the Channel, from Soundsystems both East and West and from many of the British electronic (and guitar) groups of past and present. You'll either catch them playing live, DJing across London or dirtying up someone else's song in a remix. But no matter how you end up hearing them the message seems clear; they want to make you dance, they want to make you sing.
