John Clapper

About

My name is John Clapper. I’m a Southampton-born-turned Lancashire-Northerner living in London . . .

As a Solo acoustic act I use a loop pedal to provide a whole other dimension to the acoustic sound. Whether your after a chilled out vibe or something to dance too I’ve got it covered.

As a musician at prestigious venues in and around Manchester I built up a name and a reputation for my imaginative and entertaining set lists as well as my flexibility for all situations (despite being over 6ft I can fit in a surprisingly small space when performing). My use of the loop pedal has become a door to an entirely new world of sounds and It definitely brings a unique dynamic to any event.

As both a solo act and freelance guitarist I have worked with numerous companies and artists, including Great British Food Festival, New World Pub Company, Laine’s London, Proud Camden and New Moon company in a number of their events, restaurants and bars across the country.
I have experience working abroad having headlined Agiotfest in Corfu and a bi-monthly residency at The Irish Times chain across Europe. My recent achievements include touring with LOVER supporting Earl Slick (David Bowie/John Lennon guitarist) performing at O2 academy venues in Glasgow, Liverpool and London.

I’m into all sorts of music genres; Rock, Pop, Acoustic, Blues and Country to name a few. My favourite artists include The Beatles, Queen, Damien Rice, Eric Clapton and Ed Sheeran, If it’s catchy, I’ll like it!
