About

Lewisburg is the working moniker for London based singer-songwriter Al Robertson. Described as dark-country he is influenced by acts such as Phosphorescent, Ryan Adams and Eels, Al crafts mellifluous, nostalgic songs with the forlorn, widescreen sensibilities of prairie folk.

Lewisburg’s self-produced EP ‘My Sad Estate’ was recorded at Crow’s Nest in Hackney and was released by Lewisburg’s label ARTSHIFT records in spring 2016. The title track received airplay on LA radio station KCRW and BBC6 Music.

Embracing an organic, simplistic approach to the production of his music, Al headed to a cabin in the wilderness of Exmoor in July of this year to record his new EP ‘Think Again’ which is due for release in October.
