Tsars
TSARS, a very new and exciting progressive indie outfit from South London, formed in January 2011. Within just six months this lively quartet recorded and released Whispers, a 6 track EP recorded at Stakeout Studio with Chris Coulter and Jason Wilcock (YouMeAtSix, Arcane Roots, Franko).
Influenced by a myriad of bands and musicians, from Foals to Thrice, Sigur Ros to Tall Ships, the band fuse together bouncy beats, catchy melodies and electronic driven ambience with the song writing ambition of the likes of Biffy Clyro, Manchester Orchestra and Bloc Party. This is highlighted the most by track 3, ?Hard Times Ahead?, which is 3 and a half-minute story of the night before.
In the short time TSARS have been settled they have played a number of shows, including a sweaty sold out headline show in London In June 2011. The band are focused on a collection of dates over the coming months including shows with rising bands Kyte and Hello Mexico
