Winterhours are a four-piece band from Winchester/London, England. They have been active since late 2009 and have enjoyed significant success in the South.
After a winter of writing, Winterhours recorded the 'Golden Assembly' EP, which was released in mid 2010 on Bandcamp. In 2011 they released the single 'Sleepy House'. Both were instrumental in gaining the band a dedicated following and formidable live reputation. Following a 10 day tour of the UK in May the band were selected to open the Main Stage of the Beach Break Live Festival in Wales and picked to play before Cast at the Sound City Festival in Liverpool. Other supports throughout the year have included Cloud Control, The Phoenix Foundation and The Wombats amongst others.
The single has enjoyed considerable play on BBC6 music and Absolute Radio, and the band played a live session on the south's BBC Introducing show in June.
They are currently working on new material and a release in early 2012
