"The Workhouse" was started after solo artist Mel Dayna started to jam with friend Nathan Plant and they performed together at the famous 100 club supporting soul legend Geno Washington.
Jess Crisp was brought in immediately as an experianced bassist who makes the most upbeat lovely personal bass lines for every song Mel and Nathan throw at her.

Tom has come on board as drummer/vocalist and also has a lot of creative input into the song's arrangement.
