MoRo launch their new EP “Lay Down Your Ghosts”.
Following on from their nomination for best pop song at the International Songwriting Awards, and having been recently hyped by The Guardian, this new offering signals a definite progression for the band.
The new tracks are influenced by the energy of their live shows; louder drums, dirtier guitars and soaring vocals. But the same MoRo traits are on display: hook-laden melodies, ercussive drive, and splashes of guitar colour.
Lay Down Your Ghosts, the title track from their forthcoming EP, begins with a hypnotic groove before breaking into euphoric indie-soul with pumped-up guitars and a jubilant chorus.
Motorcade smashes through in splendour, followed by Hunting For Gold, which brings Motown drums tuned low with fiery guitars. Finally, closing track Don’t Need Your Love features a
haunting live vocal performance.
Their plan is to release two more EP’s for 2012
