When Prophecy Fails - New Album Release

10
August/2012

The Isle of Wight Festival brought 'When Prophecy Fails' great success after being given a slot by ex Prodigy drummer Kieron Pepper & Andy Gray who has worked with the likes of U2, Korn & Gary Numan.

When Prophecy Fails are now set to release their self-titled debut album on August 26th 2012. This includes the illustrious track ‘Pumpkin Positive’... which has received radio play from Wightparty Radio & soon to be broadcast on the Amazing Radio Rock show.

The founding members of When Prophecy Fails have grown up together and almost every challenge has been shared. The music on their album is a representation of that journey - written and recorded on a zero budget.

Contained within the tracks is an honesty, intrepidity & soul, rarely captured by commonly over produced, ‘modern’ music.

When Prophecy Fails always feel at home in the live setting. The combination of thought provokinglyrics & progressive sound is the hallmark of the band. In a recent review of a show on the Isle of Wight, New Reviews wrote:

“Their sound was big enough that it
threatened to shake the island to the
roots and bring us all face-to-face
with inner truths and skeletons in our
closets.”

Members:

Rory Mckittrick – Vocals
Robb Dixon – Guitar/programming
Anthony Fellows-ball – Bass
Jake Taylor – Drums

To conclude, When Prophecy Fails are a distant cousin of the progressive sounds from the 70’s, tastefully inspired by the groove metal era of the 90’s; and brought right up to date with modern electronic sonics more likely to be found on a Burial or Aphex Twin production. Letting this artist slip by would be treachery to all art that still clings onto creativity in such a ‘copycat’ modern age.

When Prophecy Fails’ album will be released for free on the 26th of August 2012 via their website. Do not miss out!
